SMS and Phone Verification
PickOS Inc. uses optional transactional SMS (one-time passwords) to verify your mobile number and protect accounts on PickOS and MyPick (mypick.com and the MyPick app). These messages are sent only after you provide your number and actively request a verification code. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this verification flow.

1. Program and use case
Program name: PickOS Inc. Account Verification (transactional / 2FA). Company: PickOS Inc. (https://pickos.com) operates this program for PickOS properties and for MyPick (https://mypick.com and the MyPick app). Channel: transactional SMS delivered through one or more messaging and verification providers that PickOS Inc. appoints. This program is not limited to a single vendor.
When you choose phone verification on PickOS or MyPick, we collect and use your mobile phone number to send transactional one-time passwords (OTPs) and account verification messages for registration, login authentication, phone number verification, password recovery, and account security. These messages are sent only after you provide your number and actively request a verification code. No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this verification flow.
2. How you opt in (message flow)
End users opt in to PickOS Inc. transactional SMS in either of these ways:
- On this public page (https://pickos.com/legal/sms.html): the user enters a mobile number, leaves the SMS consent checkbox unchecked by default, actively checks the box agreeing to receive transactional OTP messages from PickOS Inc. (PickOS and/or MyPick), and submits the form to request a verification code.
- Inside a PickOS or MyPick product (pickos.com, mypick.com, or the MyPick app — sign-in, registration, phone verification, or password recovery): the user chooses SMS as a verification method, enters their mobile number, checks a dedicated SMS-consent box that is not pre-selected, and taps or clicks to send the code. Account creation can still proceed with another method (email, authenticator app, or passkey) if the user does not consent to SMS.
We do not use keyword opt-in, paper forms, or verbal consent for this program. Completing the checkbox plus requesting a code is the affirmative action that confirms consent. Opting out may prevent you from completing phone-based verification; where available, you may use another verification method or contact PickOS Inc. support.
3. Consent (unchecked by default)
Messaging consent is separate from agreeing to the general Terms of Service. The SMS checkbox below is optional, starts unchecked, and must be selected by the user.
4. Required disclosures
- Message type: transactional OTP / 2FA only. No marketing or promotional SMS.
- Brands: PickOS Inc. for PickOS (pickos.com) and MyPick (mypick.com and the MyPick app).
- Sender ID: alphanumeric name PickOS or MyPick where supported; otherwise a numeric number only.
- Message frequency: varies. Typically 1–4 messages per month, depending on how often you register, sign in, verify a number, or recover an account. Extra codes are sent only when you request them.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt-out: email support@pickos.com. Where inbound replies are supported, STOP / HELP may also work.
- Privacy Policy: https://pickos.com/legal/privacy.html (states that mobile numbers are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing).
- Terms of Service: https://pickos.com/legal/terms.html (SMS program in Section 26).
- Consent is not a condition of purchase.
5. Sample messages

MyPick: Your verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. To opt out email support@pickos.com. Where supported, reply STOP or HELP. Msg & data rates may apply.

6. Opt-out and support
The method we always honor is email: write to support@pickos.com with your mobile number and whether the messages were from PickOS or MyPick, or use the Contact page. We will stop sending verification SMS to that number.
Where the messaging provider and destination country support inbound keyword replies (common on U.S. A2P 10DLC numbers), you may also reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Keyword replies are not available in every country and are not guaranteed with every provider. If a STOP or HELP reply is not accepted or not processed, email us — that is the guaranteed opt-out. After you opt out, we will not send further verification SMS to that number unless you later opt in again.
7. Providers and sharing
We may share your mobile number with messaging and verification providers only as needed to deliver and secure these transactional messages. Providers may change. We do not sell your mobile number or share it with third parties for their own marketing. See our Privacy Policy for retention, security, and your rights.
8. Sender ID
PickOS Inc. uses two sender names. Messages for PickOS properties use the Sender ID PickOS. Messages for mypick.com or the MyPick app use the Sender ID MyPick only. In countries that do not support alphanumeric Sender ID, we send from a numeric phone number only (no lettered sender name). The company behind both senders is PickOS Inc.
